A Chicago visit to Lincoln's daughter, Dr. Rachel Mayorga and her family, was an opportunity to get to know Catherine Maya Mayorga Rousche, new grandchild shown above, about to go out on the town.

Uncle Juan Carlos, Guatemalan son of Sheri and Lincoln, was the most favored playmate of his nephew, Patrick, Jr., now two and a half, Lincoln's first grandchild. Juan Carlos Mayorga, who will be 13 in March, and his older brother Nicolas, 20, have been with us since 1999. Lincoln is the white haired grandfather behind the couch.

Lincoln spent several days between the holidays recording music which is close to his heart, Johannes Brahms' late piano works: the Eight Pieces, Opus 76, Two Rhapsodies, Op. 79, Three Pieces, Op. 117, and Six Pieces, Opus 118.
